How Is PatientLink™ NOT Traditional Advertising?
Unlike most media outlets, CHR doesn't just take a sponsor's message and run it in our network with few (or no) editorial controls. In other words, this isn't just another advertising vehicle.
CHR employs a staff of pharmacists who review and make potential editorial changes to EVERY sponsored message that appears in our network. Their primary goal is to improve patient health, with a level of independence found in few other companies. No message runs in our network without their approval.
After our own staff of pharmacists have reviewed and potentially changed these messages, the staff of our retail pharmacy chain partners can become involved. Our largest chain partners review and validate every message again, independently and with their own clinical and pharmacy experts, who must also approve each message before it is allowed to appear before a patient. Their standard is very simple: Would they be willing to have their own pharmacists provide the information contained in a PatientLink™ to a patient?
Only after this series of checks, balances and controls is satisfied can a message appear in a PatientLink™. We know of no other patient communication vehicle like the CHR PatientLink™ system, and our unique service and position in the industry are upheld, year after year, because of this.
In the end, CHR believes that informed patients have better discussions with their physicians and pharmacists, leading to better health and greater patient involvement in the management of their condition. CHR encourages patients to take an active role in their health care, and provides them with targeted, relevant, accurate information allowing them to do just that.
Our over-arching advice is always the same: If you see an advertisement or other communication that interests you, whether in a CHR-driven communication or via television, magazines, or other forms of media, discuss it with your doctor or pharmacist. They are your best guides for determining the medications that are right for you.
